Кроме эффективного обеззараживания, такой раствор не вызывает раздражение и аллергические реакции слизистой оболочки глаза. В то время как многофункциональный раствор для хранения линз мог вызвать такое раздражение.
Поэтому, дезинфицирующее средство на основе пироксида водорода является предпочтительным. Наименее эффективной, но в некоторых случаях пригодной дезинфекцией для контактных линз, определен многофункциональный раствор для хранения линз.
